How to make a QR code for Google reviews

  1. 1

    Get your review link

Sign in to the Google account that manages your Business Profile, search for your business on Google, and choose “Ask for reviews” (on some screens it's “Share review form”). Copy the link it gives you.

  2. 2

    Paste it above

The generator turns the link into a QR code right away. Change the colors if you like.

  3. 3

    Download and test

Save a PNG for screens and email or an SVG for print, then scan it with your phone to make sure the review form opens.

  4. 4

Put it where happy moments happen

Receipts, table tents, counters, invoices, packaging and thank-you cards.

Where to find your Google review link

Only an owner or manager of a Google Business Profile can get the official review link. Sign in with that Google account, search for your business name on Google or open it in Google Maps, and look for “Ask for reviews” or “Share review form” in your profile tools. The short link usually looks like g.page/r/ followed by a code and /review.

That link opens the review form for your business directly, which is far easier for customers than searching for you and scrolling to find the review button.

Getting more reviews without breaking the rules

A QR code makes leaving a review easy, but how you ask still matters:

  • Ask everyone. Google's review policies don't allow asking only happy customers or discouraging negative reviews.
  • Don't offer rewards. Discounts or freebies in exchange for reviews are against Google's policies.
  • Ask at the right moment: at checkout, on the receipt, or in a thank-you message after the job is done.
  • Add a short prompt next to the code, such as “Enjoyed your visit? Scan to leave us a Google review.”

Print tips for review codes

Review codes are usually scanned up close, from a table, counter or receipt:

  • Print it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide. On table tents and counter signs, 4–5 cm (about 2 in) is more comfortable.
  • Keep it dark on a light background, with a clear margin around the code.
  • Place it where people pause: tables, counters, waiting areas and checkout.
  • Test a printed proof on an iPhone and an Android phone before a big print run.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get a QR code for Google reviews?

Copy your review link from your Google Business Profile (“Ask for reviews” or “Share review form”), paste it into the generator above and download the code. It's free and needs no sign-up.

Is the Google review QR code free?

Yes. It's a static code, so it's free, has no watermark and never expires. It keeps working as long as your Business Profile and its review link exist.

Why can't I find the “Ask for reviews” option?

You need to be signed in with a Google account that owns or manages the Business Profile. Some profile tools only appear once the profile is verified.

Can I see how many people scan my review code?

Not with a free static code. A Pro dynamic code counts scans and shows when they happen, while still sending people to the same review form.

Can I offer a discount for a review?

No. Google's review policies don't allow rewards for reviews or asking only happy customers, so keep the invitation open to everyone.

What size should I print it?

At least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide for close-up scanning, and larger on signs people see from further away. Always test a printed proof first.
